Dr Chang Guo is working at the Center for Radiation, Chemical and Environmental Hazards (CRCE) at UK Health Security Agency. She is interested in the biological/toxicological effects of nanomaterials, with a particular focus on those nanomaterials which could get into the body through inhalation pathways with a potential public health concern. She has been using both in vivo and in vitro models to identify the bioactivity of inhaled nanoparticle aerosols and to understand the underlying mechanisms.

EEH Themes:

Theme III Project 5: Improved in vitro systems for evaluation and comparing inhalation toxicity of air pollutants including NO2 and PM

Theme III Project 6: Use of improved in vitro systems to evaluate the mechanisms of toxicity and their relative significance for realistic inhalation to advanced materials
