Public and Community Oversight Group

The Public and Community Oversight Group (PCOG) consists of representatives of the broader community of stakeholders of the research conducted in these units, including members of the general public, representatives of advocacy, occupational, community and patient groups, industries, local government, as well as of government bodies and industry. Its aim is to ensure that the research addresses the needs and concerns of these stakeholders and its results are appropriately communicated, by providing input at all stages of the research cycle and co-designing the Public and Community Involvement, Engagement and Participation (PCIEP)  strategy and activities.

Joint Academic Career Development Committee

The Joint Academic Career Development Committee consists of representatives from each of the partners in the HPRUs and MRC Centre, and student and early career researcher representatives. Its role is to support the development of a robust multidisciplinary programme for training the next generation of environmental health scientists affiliated with these units.

Joint Public and Community Involvement, Engagement and Participation Committee

The joint Public and Community Involvement, Engagement and Participation (PCIEP) Committee consists of representatives from each of the partners in the HPRUs and MRC Centre, led by the PCIEP Coordinators in the two HPRUs. It is responsible for coordinating and supporting the activities of the PCOG, and for the implementation of the PCIEP Strategy and activities, co-developed with the PCOG.
